Bruno Vargas Calero, viola – Spain
Violist Bruno Vargas Calero started studying music at the age of four at the Escola de Música in Barcelona. He continued studying at the Escolania de Montserrat and the Profesional de Badalona. He obtained his Bachelor of Music at the ESMUC (Escola Superior de Musica de Cataluña-Barcelona) with Professor Ashan Pillai. He has performed in orchestras such as the Joven Orquesta Athenea, Joven Orquesta Nacional de Cataluña and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España. As a chamber musician, Bruno has won different prizes with the Quartet en Si, the Quartet Theodor Adorno and the Martinu Ensemble.
Bruno is currently completing his Postgraduate degree under Professor Josep Puchades in Valencia and regularly collaborates with the Orquesta de València, the Orquesta de la Règion de Múrcia and the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería. He is the principal violist of the Orquestra de la Marina Alta in Valencia, Spain.
