Miguel Izquierdo Sesé, violin – Spain
Miguel completed his graduate degree in violin at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia with Professor Anabel Garcia del Castillo. He then specialized in viola at the same conservatory, entering the class of Professor Francesc Gaya as well as working together with Santiago Cantó, soloist with the Orchestra of Valencia. Currently, Miguel plays with the chamber group Trio Liberis and the Orquestra de la Marina Alta.
Miguel is a former member of the Orquesta Nacional de Cataluña, the Youth Orchestra de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castellón. In addition, Miguel was also principal viola in the European Philharmonic Orchestra. He has participated in various chamber music courses and has taken masterclasses with Katalyn Sebéstién, Santiago Juan, Vicente Balaguer and Viorel Tudar, to name a few.
Some of Miguel’s achievements include advancing as a finalist in the Villena Violin Competition and also receiving a prize of honor in violin from the Denia Conservatory in Alicante.
